Two O&O stations, CBS-owned KYW-TV in Philadelphia and NBC-owned WTVJ in Miami have bought Program Partners' new game show Let's Play Crosswords for fall.
WTVJ's addition brings the number to six NBC-owned stations carrying the show this fall. NBC Universal is also selling the minute and a half of national ad time.
The moves bring the total clearance of the program to 85 percent of the U.S. New major-market clearances include Washington, D.C. (WJLA/ABC), Detroit (WDIV/NBC), Tampa-St.Petesburg-Clearwater (WFTS/ABC), Portland, OR (KGW/NBC), Columbus, OH (WSFJ/Ind.), Birmingham (WTTO/CW) and Greensboro (WXLV/ABC).
Other notable clearances include Grand Rapids (WWMT/CBS), Shreveport (KTBS/ABC), Burlington (WVNY-WFFF/ABC-Fox), Colorado Springs (KKTV/CBS) and Rockford (WIFR/CBS).
Meanwhile, Program Partners is previewing "new" full-length episodes of DaVinci's Inquest on YouTube, in advance of the program airing in broadcast syndication this fall. The episodes in question are actually a spin-off of the procedural drama and was originally called DaVinci's City Hall, which straggled for 13 episodes before being canceled by the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. last year.
In the show, DaVinci becomes mayor of Vancouver, but is unable to lure the Grizzles basketball team back from Memphis....
